The Science Factory

Engage in a truly imaginative experience at the Science Factory. The hands-on museum features dozens of exhibits that will captivate visitors of all ages. Check out Discovery Cove where little ones can have big fun climbing into a nautical play structure and acting out stories with sea creature puppets. One of the highlights is the Exploration Dome, which features virtual adventures involving the brain and outer space. The Science Factory also offers summer camps and a venue for birthday parties.

Transportation

There are several ways to reach the Science Factory, which is located next to Autzen Stadium on the University of Oregon campus. You can get there by car and park for free.     One of the highlights of the Science Factory, the Exploration Dome delivers an abundance of virtual adventures that are both stimulating and educational. You’ll get a chance to see what it’s like to live through an ice age, navigate the ocean, and experience a rocket launch like a real astronaut.
  • Can I hold my child’s birthday party at the Science Factory?

    Absolutely. You’ll enjoy a private party room for two hours, lots of time in the Exhibit Hall, a gift for the birthday boy or girl, and your choice of a hands-on science activity that’s led by an in-house educator. What’s more, party invitations are included in the price, which is $95 for non-members of the museum
    and $80 for members.
